After The Miracle

2014 was labeled as "The Year Of The Miracle." Many miracles happened this year. We saw huge revival, people were delivered, lives were changed, babies were born...you know what you have seen this year, and I'm sure you can think of a few miracles.

So my question is, "what happens after the miracle?" What will 2015 bring? In the New Testament, many people experienced miracles. Blind eyes opened, lamed healed, dead people were raised, and many other wonderful things happened. We know that many of those people followed Jesus after their miracle, but we don't know much after that.

In the Old Testament, God performed some amazing miracles. These miracles were supernatural events like creation, the flood, destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, the burning bush, and the plagues of Egypt, just to name a few.

The events after these miracles are clear. God did some supernatural miracles to display His power and bring about a new beginning. Those going through these miracles, like Noah and Moses, I'm sure didn't really understand or see the big picture, but they knew God was at work.

Psalm 77:14 (NIV) says, "You are the God who performs miracles, you display your power among the peoples."

This means that 2015, the year after the miracle, is a new beginning through the power of God. A miracle is the evidence of the presence of God. Experiencing or witnessing a miracle means that God is doing something HUGE! It means that God is still working in your life. It means that you have found favor with Him, and He isn't finished with you, yet!

Even if you feel like that miracle wiped you out, like it made you weak, all you need is His grace.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT) says, "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness."

God performs a miracle. It leaves us weak, so that we fully rely on His grace. Then His power can work through us to bring about a new beginning...that's what happens after the miracle!
